PICNIC!

The Recreation Committee would like to invite you to another Bring-Your-Own Picnic to welcome our new residents and their families.  The picnic will be Sunday, September 25, at 2:00 p.m., outside the Recreation Room.  (If the weather is cold, wet, or smoky, we’ll meet inside.)  Jim, our resident DJ, will provide music, and lawn games will be available.  Please bring your own food and beverage.  This is an opportunity to get acquainted with our new neighbors and friends.  We hope to see you there.  —Shirley Piel

POOL COMMITTEE

Pool closing soon! We have had a good run but, the end is insight!! The last day the pool will be open this year is Sunday, September 25th.Thank-you to all of the many volunteers who contributed their time to make this swim season possible!  —Cindy Zinn

LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE

It’s that time of the year when everything is overgrown and ready to be trimmed back. Look at your patio, if any plant or tree is touching your home, fence, gutter or your neighbor’s property…it needs to be trimmed NOW. Before we know it, the leaves will be dropping and our Landscapers and Mace will be working hard to sweep them from our property and keep them out of our gutters. 🌿

A gentle reminder that it’s not our landscaper’s job to clean up your cuttings and leaves from your patio. You need to feed it into your garbage can. It may take a week or two, or your neighbor might have room in their can and might help out. Thank you.

We will be removing all dead bushes in the coming month. If you have one tucked away, please take a picture, identify the area with DW and the nearest house # and send it to us. That is the quickest way to take care of any problem. Please add your name too!

Want to join our team? We have openings for DW Reps for 50, 60 and 70. We meet once a month, second Monday at 10am in the Rec room. We are very flexible and if you can’t attend, send us any info you want to share. The job is to watch out for your DW and to note if you have any problems. Just observe and report.

A very special thank you to my Co-Chair /Friend: Stressla, as she steps down. I couldn’t, I wouldn’t have taken the position without you. You brought Riverwood history to life, your knowledge as an original member of the team that set up the CC&R’s was invaluable, you taught me so many things about working with our community and to this day, I will defer to your wisdom and common sense. Your caring and God loving ways have enhanced my Granddaughter’s and my life for the better. You have given me your friendship, laughter, your prayers and your love and I will be forever grateful to call you my friend.  Thank you for all your efforts to enhance Riverwood, we appreciate it more then we can ever say.  I give you my love, respect and the happiest of wishes… to just relax. ♥️  –Kris Clarke
