RIVERWOOD HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION SWIMMING POOL AND SAUNA REGULATIONS

POOL HOURS: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm ADULTS (18 & older) ONLY 4-6 pm daily. Exceptions require prior approval of Pool Committee
SAUNA HOURS: 6:00 am to 10:30 pm (all year) An adult must accompany persons under the age of 18 years using the sauna.
GUEST USE: Riverwood extends the privilege of allowing ADULT family members, at least 18 years of age (son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter and spouses), to use the pool without the presence of the Riverwood Host. Residents must file a POOL GUEST FORM (available in the residents-only section of the RiverwoodPDX.org site — Residents can LOG IN HERE) with the Pool Committee each season.
- Every homeowner is responsible for the observance of the Pool & Sauna Rules, and has the right to remind others in violation of any of these rules. FLAGRANT DISREGARD OF THESE RULES WILL LEAD TO BOARD ACTION TO SUSPEND POOL & SAUNA PRIVILEGES AND LEVY FINES. All homeowners and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which conforms to State Regulations and these Pool Rules, and which respects the privileges and enjoyment of other homeowners and guests. Resident Hosts/Hostesses are responsible and liable for the actions of their guests, adults as well as younger persons; and will ensure proper supervision to assure appropriate conduct and safety of their guests.

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY–All persons using the swimming pool do so at their own risk.

State Board of Health Regulations, as posted, are a part of these rules for the use of the pool. STATE LAW REQUIRES SHOWERING BEFORE ENTERING THE POOL.

The safety rope will not be removed while children are ln the pool. lt may not be played with or sat upon.

An ADULT resident Host/Hostess MUST ACCOMPANY Guests using the pool. (except for #6)

Number of guests per unit is limited to five (5) persons at any one time, family or non-family.

ONLY authorized and pre-registered family member guests are permitted without the host’s presence. The homeowner is both responsible and liable for their guest’s conduct, damage, and injury.

SWIMMING WEAR only is permitted in the water NO STREET CLOTHES OR SHOES

No one is permitted to swim while wearing a bandage or with open cuts or sores

Children not toilet trained are not allowed in the pool unless they are in waterproof “swim” diapers’

NO RUNNING, PUSHING, OR HORSEPLAY OF ANY KIND; NO SHOUTING OR SCREAMING, CHILDREN OR ADULTS: please respect the homeowners all around us!!!

NO DIVING INTO THE SHALLOW END OF THE POOL.

NO WATER SQUIRT GUNS, AIR MATTRESSES OR LARGE INFLATABLE OR FLOATING TOYS. Water noodles and small floating toys/swim aids typically used by small children are permitted.
Other than a “noodle”, no item will exceed 24 inches in the greatest dimension, when there are 5 ormore people in the pool. -
Food & beverages are prohibited within 5 feet of the pool. NO GLASS OF ANY KIND EVER!

The pool area may be closed for use at any time for cleaning, repair, water chemistry check/adjustment or due to inclement weather. At such times, a closure sign will be posted at the gate entrances.

Hosts and guests are asked to do their share to keep the area neat and orderly. We are all volunteers, and we do not have a paid cleaning crew. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TRASH HOME!

Under no circumstances should anyone attempt to swim while the solar blanket is in place over the pool. Rev. 05/2023
