Welcome to our new neighbors
Welcome to our newest Riverwood neighbors, Leonard and Kazumi Erickson.
Have You Noticed?
There has been a lot of cleanup of illegal camping in our immediate neighborhood in recent weeks. The large camps just south of Sandy on 122nd , the camp on Prescott Drive and 125th , and the camp on 122nd at the I-84 ramp have been cleared. Thank you to the group of Riverwood residents who have been diligent in making reports to 311 and pdxreporter.org. There are a few remaining vehicles on streets surrounding Riverwood that need to be cleared. The long-term camper on 125th Place was featured on KGW news lately. Thanks to all who met with the reporter. Thanks to Argay’s Lin Felton to facilitated contact with Blair Best of KGW on our behalf. Per communication with PBOT, the 125th Place camper is scheduled to be green tagged September 23rd, and for towing removal September 30th .
Argay Neighborhod News
Argay Neighborhood Association has received a grant for a Welcome packet for any new neighbor who moves into the Argay Neighborhood. It includes the history of Argay and a gift card to the Honey Jar Restaurant. The Association has provided a supply for Riverwood to dispense to those who have moved in during the last 6 months, and ongoing new residents. Thank you, Argay Neighborhood Association.
Argay Neighborhood Association has a plan to address graffiti in our neighborhood and will be looking for volunteers. The plan is for a bi-monthly gathering to remove graffiti in the movement to take our neighborhood back. They will be picking up graffiti removal kits this week from Metro in preparation. Riverwood will be partnering with Argay Neighborhood Association to provide storage for the supplies in our maintenance garage. Thank you, Jim Eveland. More information to come as plans are solidified.
The Argay Neighborhood Association meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. It is currently held via Zoom (Meeting ID#: 4790037202; Password: Billzoom1). When they transition back to in-person meetings, they will be held at our neighborhood Fire House. The next meeting is September 28. Is there anyone who can represent Riverwood by attending these meetings? It would be great for Riverwood to be in the communication loop of what is happening in our greater Argay neighborhood.
